Welcome to Scotia Non-Destructive Testing
Visual inspection is a common method of quality control, data acquisition, and data analysis. Visual Inspection, used in maintenance of facilities, mean inspection of equipment and structures using either or all of raw human senses such as vision, hearing, touch and smell and/or any non-specialized inspection equipment.
Visual testing may involve other equipment to aid lighting levels and contrast so that discontinuities have the highest probability to be found at the time of inspection. Where direct visual inspection is impaired due to component geometry for example remote visual inspection may be used such as boroscopes & videoscopes etc.
The training program cover 50% theory and 50% practical application, allowing time to obtain good foundation in the method of NDT by practicing a large variety of inspection techniques under the supervision of our qualified instructors.
